It is 17 km away from Zadar, well connected with regional road. Population of Nin is 1,700 inhabitants. Main industries are agriculture, viticulture, olive and fruit growing, fishery and tourism.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-408 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/apartmani-luca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/2-300x159.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"300\" height=\"159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/apartmani-luca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/2-300x159.jpg 300w, https:\/\/apartmani-luca.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/2.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nin was historically important as a centre of a medieval Christian Bishopric and therefore is wealthy in heritage; monuments from early architecture from 8th and 11th century. Until the arrival of the Romans Nin was the main place of Liburns. During Roman times was proud Municipality named Aenona. It is the oldest city of Croatian kings at that time an important seaport. In the city centre, still today, proudly stands miraculous Church of Holy Cross (Sv. Kri\u017e) dated 9th century. This is believed to be the worlds smallest cathedral and at the same time representing the early Croatian architecture. Pejakovi\u0107 from Dubrovnik. The building of church was designed to serve as a clock and calendar, using the position of the setting through the year to set time.<br \/>\nHe realized that the dimensions and elements of buildings were designed to capture summer and winter solstice and equinox. Not far from St. Cross Church is a church of St. Anselm. With the addition of some elements of Roman and Gothic architecture, there are excellent examples of the metal production in silver and gold which testify about the Nin&#8217;s blooming culture in the early Middle Ages. Among others, two relics, works of Caroline Masters in 8th and 9 century, and the ring of Pope Pius II (15th It is 17 km away from Zadar, well connected with regional road. Population of Nin is 1,700 inhabitants. Until the arrival of the Romans Nin was the main place of Liburns. During Roman times was proud Municipality named Aenona. It is the oldest city of Croatian kings at that time an important seaport. In the city centre, still today, proudly stands miraculous Church of Holy Cross (Sv. Kri\u017e) dated 9th century. This is believed to be the worlds smallest cathedral and at the same time representing the early Croatian architecture. Not far from St. Cross Church is a church of St. Anselm. With the addition of some elements of Roman and Gothic architecture, there are excellent examples of the metal production in silver and gold which testify about the Nin&#8217;s blooming culture in the early Middle Ages.
